Since his arrival from Villarreal, Dia has scored six goals and provided two assists in 14 games for Salernitana 11 games in all competitions this season.

The 26-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Senegal. Dia has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 3 goals in 22 senior appearances for the Senegal national team.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Everton.

Frank Lampard wants to sign a new striker and Dia is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. Lampard is a firm fan of Salernitana striker and Everton could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.

And a fresh report from Italy has suggested a possible target has emerged. Tutto Salernitana says Everton are considering making a move for striker Dia. The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Serie A outfit Salernitana from Spanish club Villarreal.”

However, Everton will have to balance the books before attempting to land Boulaye Dia.

The Serie A club would be wise to keep the Senegal international, but if they do let him go expect it to be for a hefty sum.

If Boulaye Dia is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for Everton.

A striker of Dia’s ceiling will be a massive addition to Everton squad as he will not only improve the overall quality of Lampard’s starting XI but also add some stability and variety to his attacking department.
