The English club have been monitoring young centre-backs in the past few months. According to multiple reports emanating from England, Manchester City have entered talks with Hajduk for Luka Vuskovic.

The 16-year-old centre-back has played all his life at Hajduk. He has made his way through the youth system at the Croatian club.

In five appearances for Hajduk, Vuskovic has managed to score one goal.

He’s incredibly experienced for a 16-year-old and still has tons of room for growth. Vuskovic has also represented Croatia at Under-16 and Under-17 level, winning 7 caps and scoring one goal.

Luka Vuskovic will be high in demand this summer, with him having enjoyed a sublime season for Hajduk this term.

Manchester City have built a reputation for recruiting young talent from within Europe, predominantly targeting those with sell-on value and immense potential. They will have funds to spend in the market and it will be interesting to see how they approach the summer transfer window.

The Athletic says great interest is emerging in Vuskovic and City are among clubs keen. Indeed, City have made a €10m offer plus €2m in bonuses. City is the first club to make a bid. Hajduk Split has neither accepted nor rejected the offer as yet. Vukskovic’s family have hired Pini Zahavi as his agent.”

The Croatian giants feel under no pressure to sell and will “demand a significant fee” before letting him go.

Manchester City have to fork out a huge transfer fee if they are genuinely interested in the Croatia international.

If Vuskovic is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for Manchester City.

All in all, Luka Vuskovic will be an ideal choice for Pep Guardiola as he ticks all the right boxes in terms of what he demands from his defenders.
