Manchester United poised to land Bayer 04 right-back Jeremie Frimpong
Reports suggest that Manchester United is currently in talks with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Jeremie Frimpong. The 22-year-old right-back has been a standout performer for the Bundesliga club, having scored eight goals and assisted nine in all competitions this season.
Frimpong, who was signed by Bayer Leverkusen from Celtic for €11 million, has made a name for himself in Germany and caught the attention of Manchester United, who are looking for an attacking right-back to enhance their squad for next season.
The Red Devils’ coach, Erik ten Hag, has been linked to several Dutch players since taking over the reins at Old Trafford. Although the club failed to sign Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona, they successfully secured the signatures of Tyrell Malacia and Wout Weghorst.
Frimpong was born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents and is eligible to play for the Netherlands, Ghana, and England. He has represented the Netherlands U21 team on six occasions.

According to sources, Manchester United has already initiated discussions with Bayer Leverkusen to acquire Frimpong’s services. The club is reportedly considering selling either Diogo Dalot or Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the summer to create space for a new right-back.
Should Frimpong join United, he will be expected to compete with Wan-Bissaka for the starting position or take over as the first-choice right-back. His attacking prowess could give United a new dimension as they aim to contend for the Premier League title next season.
