The Frenchman is out of contract at Lyon at the end of the season, and although AC Milan are interested, the report adds that there are ‘no shortage of offers’ from England. The 24-year-old will be available for a cut-price deal in January, or is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with a non-French club in the winter transfer window.”

The Magpies will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Houssem Aouar to join the club.

Lyon will not be able to demand a significant fee for Aouar since his current deal is set to expire in 2023.

If Aouar is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for Newcastle United.

A midfielder of Aouar’s ceiling will be a massive addition to Newcastle squad as he will not only improve the overall quality of Eddie Howe’s starting XI but also add some stability and variety to his midfield department.
