There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Nicolo Zaniolo in the last period. According to the football transfer rumours in British media, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing move for Roma winger Nicolo Zaniolo.

AS Roma spent 4.5 million euros to sign the Italy international from Inter Milan in the summer of 2018. He has a valid contract until June 2024.

The winger has banged in two goals and provided three assists in 14 matches for Roma this term on all fronts.

He is considered to be one of the best wingers in Italy. As a member of Italy national football team, Zaniolo won 11 caps and he scored two goals.

There has been no movement on Zaniolo agreeing a contract extension at Roma, and he will be on the radar of many English clubs during the winter.

His performances have seen him become the target of many European clubs including Tottenham.

Antonio Conte wants to sign a new winger and Zaniolo is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. Conte is a firm fan of Roma winger and Tottenham could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.

And there remains concern in the Italian capital that Zaniolo could look to run his contract down. Tottenham are known to have made an offer to Roma previously. However, that was knocked back as the Serie A giants wanted money up front and not at a later date, as proposed by Daniel Levy. Paratici is said to view Zaniolo as someone who would play off Tottenham talisman Harry Kane really well. However, where that leaves the likes of Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison remains to be seen – unless Conte decides to change formation.”

Nicolo Zaniolo is a top-class talent and Roma want to keep him at the club.

The Spurs will have to present a really enticing offer to bring Roma to the negotiating table. They have the resources to tempt them but it will be interesting to see if they are willing to overpay for the player.

If Zaniolo is available for the right price, then he could be a clever acquisition for Tottenham.

The 23-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Tottenham squad and would be a good buy in the winter transfer window.
