There has been numerous forwards linked with Arsenal in past few weeks. According to the football transfer rumours in British and German media, Arsenal are eyeing move for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres.

The Spain international joined Barcelona from Manchester City for a fee in the region of 55 million euros in January 2022. His current deal runs out in the summer of 2027.

In 18 appearances this season, Torres has managed to score five goals and contributed with one assist.

The 22-year-old is considered to be one of the best forwards in Spain. Ferran Torres has also left his mark at the international stage after netting 15 goals in 35 senior appearances for the Spain national team.

He is set to be a man in demand in the winter transfer window, with a host of clubs queuing up to pursue his signature.

Adding a forward remains Arsenal’s top priority this winter and Mikel Arteta will have drafted a shortlist of a number of possible targets he could approach in the coming weeks.

Mikel Arteta is a firm fan of Barcelona forward and Arsenal could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense. Arteta is a long term admirer of Torres and believes he can get the most out of the Spain international.

The former Manchester City man can play multiple positions in attack and will offer the Arsenal boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.

Torres primarily operates as a winger for the La Liga giants but German outlet BILD have reported that the Gunners want to sign the Spanish international, who has previously worked under manager Mikel Arteta when the pair were still at the Etihad Stadium.”

The Gunners will have to present a really enticing offer to bring Barcelona to the negotiating table. Arsenal have the resources to tempt them but it will be interesting to see if they are willing to overpay for the player.

The 22-year-old is certainly a player that would strengthen the current Arsenal squad and would be a good buy in the winter transfer window. He has all the skillset required to be a success story at Emirates Stadium. Therefore, it makes sense for Arteta to step up his attempts to bring the Spanish forward to Premier League side.
