There has been intense speculation surrounding the future of Eden Hazard in the last period. According to multiple reports emanating from France, Arsenal are keen on Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard.
The Belgium international joined Real Madrid from Chelsea for a fee in the region of 115 million euros in 2019. His contract expires in the summer of 2024.
The winger has banged in one goal and provided one assist in 7 matches this term on all fronts.
Eden Hazard has left his mark at the international stage after netting 33 goals in 126 senior appearances for the Belgium national team.
His deal runs out next summer and so far there are no signs that Real Madrid will be offering him a new deal. Real, however, would prefer to sell him in the summer than lose him on a free in the next summer, so their asking price may not be too high.
Mikel Arteta is a firm fan of Real Madrid winger and Arsenal could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense.
Arsenal are desperate to make an impact in the summer transfer window.
The former Chelsea man has got the skillset to give Arteta more options in the final third. He has the quality and the experience to make an immediate impact.
World Football Rumours
According to the report, “Arsenal will have a great shot at landing Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard this summer after Fabrizio Romano revealed how the former Chelsea man does not have a future in the Spanish capital. There have been rumours the Belgian might return to the Premier League, though not with Chelsea. As per French source Media Foot, Chelsea’s London rivals Arsenal have looked into signing him. And the Gunners have now been given a big lift via Romano. In a tweet, the transfer specialist explained how Hazard and his agent will discuss his Real future with club officials in the next few weeks. Hazard has been left frustrated by his lack of game time this season, with his last league appearance coming on September 11. Romano states the ‘feeling internally’ is that Hazard will leave the Bernabeu this summer. Although, this will only happen if a ‘good bid or opportunity’ arrives. Arsenal will likely be keeping tabs on the situation. If Hazard agrees with Real chiefs and believes an exit is for the best, then Mikel Arteta’s side could submit an offer.”
The Gunners will have to come up with the right proposal to convince Hazard to join the club.
It is claimed that Real Madrid are open to letting Hazard go.
Good signing for Arsenal?
Undoubtedly, he would be a fantastic recruit for Arsenal.
Eden Hazard has all the skillset required to be a success story at Arsenal. Therefore, it makes sense for Mikel Arteta to step up his attempts to bring the Belgium winger to Premier League side.
Stylistically, he would be a great fit in London.
How strong that interest is and whether Arsenal will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
