Fresneda joined Real Valladolid from Leganés on a free transfer in July 2020. His contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

He has featured in 11 matches for Real Valladolid this term in all competitions.

The 18-year-old has long been touted as one of Spain’s most promising young talents. Fresneda has represented Spain at Under-18 and Under-19 level, winning 6 caps.

His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.

Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new right-back and Ivan Fresneda is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. Arteta is a firm fan of Real Valladolid right-back and Arsenal could make a move for the player if the financial aspect makes sense. Someone with Ivan’s skillset will undoubtedly add more quality to Arteta‘s defense.

The former Leganés man will offer the Arsenal boss the freedom to be more flexible with his formations, tactics and team selections.

Real Valladolid feel under no pressure to sell and will “demand a significant fee” before letting him go.
