The Gunners are reportedly keeping a close eye on many young strikers across the Europe. According to multiple reports emanating from Italy, Arsenal will look to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund.

The Denmark international joined Atalanta from Sturm Graz for a fee in the region of 17.2 million euros in 2022. His contract expires in the summer of 2027.

In 21 appearances for Atalanta, Hojlund has managed to score seven goals, and create two goals for his teammates.

The 20-year-old is considered to be one of the best strikers in Denmark. As a member of Denmark national football team, Hojlund won two caps.

His impressive performances this season have apparently caught the eye of some of Europe’s big clubs.

Arsenal have earmarked Atalanta’s striker as their target, with Mikel Arteta being a ‘huge admirer’ of the player.

The Arsenal manager has been impressed by his performances this season and could make a move this summer.

The former Sturm Graz man has got the skillset to give Arteta more options in the final third. His finishing abilities when in and around the box will come as a massive asset to Arteta’s side.

The forward has five goals in his past eight Serie A appearances since the World Cup. Per La Repubblica, Arsenal will test Atalanta’s resolve to hold onto Hojlund in the summer. Whether he would get into the Arsenal team is another matter, given the Gunners’ strength in attacking areas. Hojlund may be someone who manager Mikel Arteta sees as a rotation option.”

Atalanta are not in a position where they need to sell and would like to keep hold of the striker, but right offer may force the club to consider a deal.

Arsenal will have to present a really enticing offer to bring Atalanta to the negotiating table. The English giants have the resources to tempt them but it will be interesting to see if they are willing to overpay for the player.
