Fulham willing to buy PSG star Mauro Icardi

Reports indicate that Fulham FC is currently engaged in discussions to acquire the services of Paris Saint-Germain’s Argentine forward, Mauro Icardi.

Paris Saint-Germain FC

Icardi, who is 30 years old, has only one year left on his current contract with PSG. Nevertheless, his prospects for game time appear to be dim as he faces stiff competition from high-profile players such as Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe. Currently, he is on a season-long loan to Galatasaray, where he has scored 14 goals in 19 games while assisting in seven, aiding the team in topping the Super Lig table.

Turkish reports suggest that Fulham officials have confirmed that they have a deal in place to sign Icardi during the summer transfer window. The West Londoners are said to be willing to pay PSG approximately £13 million for the highly-talented striker.

According to Transfermarkt, Icardi’s current market value is 18 million euros. The Argentine has played eight games for his national team, scoring one goal.

Sources also claim that Icardi is nearing an agreement on personal terms with Fulham officials. If he does sign with the club, Icardi’s current earnings at PSG, which amount to almost £10 million annually, will be significantly more than those of Fulham’s highest-paid players, Bernd Leno and Layvin Kurzawa, who earn £4.7 million.

Acquiring Icardi’s services is expected to bolster Fulham’s chances of competing in the Premier League. The club has been working tirelessly to improve its team, and the addition of the Argentine striker will provide a significant boost to their attacking options. Furthermore, the presence of Wanda Nara, Icardi’s wife, at Craven Cottage could enhance the glamour of Fulham’s matches.

In conclusion, it is uncertain if the deal will go through. However, if it does, Fulham supporters will be delighted to see Mauro Icardi’s skills and experience showcased at Craven Cottage next season.
