It’s been a transfer window full of surprises, and Chelsea could be set to carry on this trend. As per British media, Chelsea are willing to buy Tottenham Hotspur star Yves Bissouma.

The Mali international joined Tottenham Hotspur from Brighton & Hove Albion for a fee in the region of 29.2 million euros in 2022. His contract expires in the summer of 2026.

The midfielder has featured in 22 matches for Tottenham this term in all competitions.

He’s incredibly experienced for a 26-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.

Graham Potter wants to sign a new midfielder and Yves Bissouma is one of the names at the top of his wishlist. The Mali international is thought to perfectly fit the profile of midfieder Potter wants to target in the winter transfer window.

Someone with Yves Bissouma’s skillset will undoubtedly add more quality to Graham Potter‘s midfield.

According to the report, “Chelsea have made an offer for Tottenham midfielder Yves Bissouma. Chelsea approached Tottenham about signing the midfielder and were willing to include Hakim Ziyech in a deal, says the Telegraph.”

The Spurs feel under no pressure to sell and will “demand a significant fee” before letting him go.

It would take a huge offer from Chelsea to prise the 26-year-old midfielder from Tottenham.

Good signing for Chelsea?

Undoubtedly, Bissouma would be a fantastic recruit for Chelsea.

Yves Bissouma has all the skillset required to be a success story at Stamford Bridge. Therefore, it makes sense for Graham Potter to step up his attempts to bring the Mali midfielder to Chelsea.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit in Chelsea.
