Liverpool are, quite clearly, in desperate need of midfield reinforcement. The latest update from England suggests that Liverpool are set to sign Chelsea star N’Golo Kante.

Chelsea spent 35.8 million euros to sign the France international from Leicester City in the summer of 2016. The 31-year-old has a valid contract until June 2023.

The defensive midfielder has made only two appearances for Chelsea but is yet to score or register an assist for them this season across all fronts.

He is considered to be one of the best midfielders in France. As a member of France national football team, N’Golo Kante won 53 caps and he scored two goals.

The France international is believed to be available for transfer, with Jürgen Klopp now keen to bring him to Liverpool.
