Chelsea: Graham Potter pushing for a new winger

Chelsea are on the hunt for a winger, and Anthony Gordon is a player who is thought to be on their radar. The latest reports in England suggest that Chelsea are pushing to sign Everton young winger Anthony Gordon. The 21-year-old has been subject to interest from various European clubs. He is under contract at Everton until the summer of 2025.

He has long been touted as one of England’s most promising young talents. He’s incredibly experienced for a 21-year-old and still has tons of room for growth.

Anthony Gordon has been in impressive form for Everton last season and it looks like he caught the eye of many European clubs including Chelsea and Newcastle.

Graham Potter is looking to shore up his attacking options and Everton’s Anthony Gordon happens to be a target. Potter is a long term admirer of Gordon and believes he can get the most out of the England international.

The 21-year-old man can play multiple positions in attack. His arrival would give Chelsea some much needed tactical flexibility.

Chelsea are reportedly deliberating whether to make a move for Everton’s Anthony Gordon before the winter transfer window snaps shut. According to the Telegraph, the Stamford Bridge chain of command have once again shown interest in the attacker and could well attempt to sign him in the next week. Gordon has long been admired by the Blues, intrigue that truly began when he hit some form towards the tail end of last season. Boehly might need to break the bank once again though, having seen several offers for the forward rejected last summer. It could reportedly cost the Chelsea chief around £75m to land the lad from Liverpool.”

Chelsea have to fork out a huge transfer fee if they are genuinely interested in the England international.

The Toffees are eager to keep the winger beyond the current campaign, but the player may look to take the next step in his career.

Good signing for Chelsea?

The 21-year-old is a promising young winger and could be a good addition to Chelsea’s squad.

Stylistically, he would be a great fit at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea fans would certainly love to see him arrive at the club.

How strong that interest is and whether Chelsea will make a move remains to be seen but it is certainly one worth keeping an eye on.
